SCN Editorial Service

Story Circle Network is seeking a coordinator to help us develop and offer a new program of online editorial services to our members and others.

The coordinator will help to identify, define, and develop the services (from simple line editing to developmental editing); recruit a strong team of skilled and experienced editors; assign editors to projects; and monitor and evaluate the work where necessary to ensure quality. The coordinator will be paid a percentage of each assigned project and may also work as an editor, if she chooses.

SCN will design and maintain the program's website, handle the billing, and promote the service through our various publications (print and online). The program will be under the supervision of SCN's Board of Directors.

Requirements: Editorial competence and experience; managerial ability; ability to work comfortably on the Internet; and knowledge and strong support of Story Circle's women-focussed mission and goals and acquaintance with its wide range of programs, publications, and activities. Current membership in SCN is not required, but the coordinator, when selected, will be expected to become a member.
